  • Develop design of experiments and execute polishing and post-CMP cleaning processes (and fully integrate such processes with the polisher automation, software for real-time data acquisition and wafer processing), adjust CMP apparati (including changing wafer carrier gap size, changing conditioner disc, calibrating the force load cell as well as the signal conditioner) and troubleshoot any issues that may rise during such work
  • Perform animal breeding and genotyping. Perform in vitro and in vivo studies including injecting animals (tail vein injections), collecting and harvesting various tissues and fluids, performing animal autopsies, making chemical identification and analysis, retro-orbital bleeding, performing drug administration by introperitoneal injection or oral gavages
  • Performing molecular biological and biochemical analyses to support work in the areas listed above. These efforts may involve mammalian tissue culture, DNA and RNA analyses, protein expression and purification, coimmunoprecipitation, SDS-PAGE, microscopy and imaging analysis (including high content automated imaging), fluorescent and/or luminescent reporter assays
  • Providing hands on support to Innovation teams for laboratory work and pilot plant equipment operation
  • Networking with other technicians to insure best practice is shared
  • Participating in LEAN events to improve the overall effectiveness of assigned activities
  • Once satisfactorily trained and approved by the AU / Repository Director and Manager, this individual will be expected to work some days (25-50% of schedule) during a shifted, evening hour schedule up to midnight. Hours for these shifts will be paid at the second shift premium per Duke policy. Shifted schedule hours will be coordinated with the AU / Repository Manager to harmonize with sample processing
